The Pancreas
The Organ You Never Think About Until It Turns On You
Most people could not point to their pancreas on a diagram. That is not ignorance. It is just that this organ sits quietly in the middle of the body, tucked behind the stomach, nestled against the back wall of the abdomen just below the chest. It does not announce itself. It does not ache when you overeat or throb when you are stressed, the way your head or your back does. It simply works. Continuously. Without complaint.
Until it does not.
The pancreas has two entirely separate jobs, and it performs both simultaneously.
